The Dream Faces came to me while I slept.
As did the animal faces .
I drew the Children because I wanted to give them a voice. Some of the faces just came to me. Sometimes I saw arresting photographs. Other times I doodled until the child was suddenly an adolescent Romanian.
Ladies of Rehab offer hope. These women are not using anymore and engage in their lives with their incredible powers of intuition, sensitivity, and intelligence. I know this because I know them.
I’ve been drawing since I was 4. People interest me most and I’m happiest drawing them. When I draw landscapes there’s usually the wind with a face coming through the mountains. Apples and skulls are in my fruit bowls.
From the Magpie School of Art, I find neat things and put them in my drawings: feathers, grass, leaves, thread, dog fur, glass, metal.
